Remember back during the last presidential campaign, and right after Obama's election, back when he was doing everything in his power to look like the next Abraham Lincoln? Remember when he rode in a train from Illinois to Washington D.C., and followed the exact same route Abraham Lincoln did? He did this beacuse right now, much like the 1860's, the country is split very much in two. Were not split apart into two nations, but Americans are feeling this devide between right and left more than usual; So, after recognizing this, Obama tried to emulate one of our greatest presidents, tho one who kept our nation together during one of it's darkest hours.

I applaud Mr. Obama for keeping the spirit of Lincoln's ideals and actions alive by rfusing to look at the confederate soldiers as enemies, but rather as fellow Americans. They fought for their lives and livleyhoods. They were Americans the same way I am, and the same way you might be too. Abraham Lincoln stood by that, and Obama, who so closley tries to emulate this great figure of Americana, stands by that to.
